Infinity Gold Coast

There’s no shortage of Gold Coast attractions on offer, and now there are even more reasons to visit the Gold Coast!

The Gold Coast has recently been chosen to host not only the 2015 ITU World Triathlon Series, but the 2018 Commonwealth Games as well. These major events only add to the already wide variety of Gold Coast attractions on offer which include theme parks, amazing surfing beaches, a family friendly atmosphere and awesome dining experiences and nightlife.

One of the most important aspects in organising a major event is to find the perfect location to host the event. A location where participants and spectators can have a great time, a location that will not only keep everyone entertained throughout the event, but one that also represents the country well. So it’s no surprise that the Gold Coast is often chosen as such location.

Gold Coast Events sure to attract a crowd

With so many amazing upcoming events, I thought it would be helpful to provide an overview of the upcoming major Gold Coast attractions so you can plan your holiday to coincide with the event of your choice.

Annual Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600

Featuring the world’s top V8 Supercar drivers, this is one event that you shouldn’t miss.  Watch and support your favourite drivers as they battle the toughest street circuit to claim the title of the Gold Coast 600 this year.

This is the by far the biggest party on the Gold Coast. Happening October 24 -26, this is an action-packed program featuring several popular events that were showcased in the inaugural festival last year.

The Minister of Tourism has confirmed that the Queensland government has entered a partnership with V8 Supercars to ensure the V8 Superfest continues this year with a host of new events that are guaranteed to blow your mind. One highlight of V8 Superfest is GC Paint Pit; a celebration of urban art, which involves digital, urban, and visual artists who will transform the laneways and walls into contemporary pieces of art throughout Superfest. There’s also Miss V8 Supercars, V8 Billycart Derby, Club 600 day club within the track, Party Nights and WAGS 600, which features the wives and the girlfriends of Gold Coast 600 drivers race against each other.

With all the scheduled events and races, including top performances by night, this is going to be a weekend of amazing entertainment the whole family can enjoy. The event takes place at Surfers Paradise Foreshore, The Esplanade.

2015 ITU World Triathlon Series

Another Gold Coast attraction added to the event calendar for next year is the ITU World Triathlon Series following a successful bid by the State Government. This achievement makes Queensland the only Australian location to be featured on the 2015 World ITU calendar alongside Chicago and London. ITU World Triathlon is currently the world’s leading platform that promotes a more active lifestyle. Having the largest and world best age-group events, it crowns the world champions and provides the best elite competition in term of prize money and of course, quality. This event is held on April 10-12, 2015, perfect weather if you’re planning to visit the Gold Coast for this event.

2018 Commonweath Games

Held concurrently with the 2015 ITU World Triathlon Series and only second in stature to the Olympics, are the 2018 Commonwealth Games, hosted by the Gold Coast between April 4 to 15 2018. Among the sports that will be competed include athletics, mountain biking, rugby, road cycling, netball, gymnastics, basketball, triathlon, and swimming. There will also be racewalking, marathon, hockey, diving, squash, weightlifting, boxing, and shooting.

The Commonwealth Games is one of the largest Gold Coast attractions over the last few decades and is set to attract 6500 athletes and team officials & 3000 photographers and journalists alone, and with 1.5 million tickets available (gc2018.com) it sure to attract tens of thousands of patriotic sports fans from around the globe.

A recent article from the Gold Coast Bulletin stated “The city is expecting the “no occupancy” sign to be out on the 142,000 available rooms for the two weeks in April 2018, with residents also looking to rent out their homes to accommodate visitors.” With this in mind, April will be a very popular holiday period so if you plan to visit during this period it would be wise to start arranging your travel plans today.

Another Gold Coast attraction for April 2015 which starts just as the Commonwealth Games wrap up is the Supanova Gold Coast Pop Culture Expo. This is the region’s premier Pop Culture expo where you can come face to face with your favourite Supa-Star celebrities. Here, you’ll be surrounded by the wonderful worlds of animation, comic books, science-fiction, toys, pulp TV/movies, console gaming, fantasy, trading cards, fan clubs, entertainment technology, and of course, internet sites. Local Gold Coast attractions loved by all

Major events are not the only attractions the Gold Coast has to offer. If you’re coming to the Gold Coast specifically for any of these events, know that there are other Gold Coast attractions that you can explore while you’re here to maximise your stay. The Gold Coast is defined by its hinterland ranges, spectacular beaches, vibrant communities, waterways, and well-preserved forests so you will not run out of things to see and do. If you’re bringing your family, I suggest that you stay in Surfers Paradise, which is close to all upcoming events. Here, you’ll get easy access to wonderful beaches and you’ll be in close proximity to other Gold Coast attractions including shopping & dining districts, bars & pubs, wellness centres, and of course, a number of great theme parks.

The Gold Coast is also famous for its local attractions and theme parks. Whether you’re looking for heart-stopping ride or spending the day at a waterpark with your mates of children, you can be sure that the Gold Coast has something for everyone. As a local, I can say that you’ve never fully experienced the Gold Coast unless you visit at least one of the Gold Coast attractions on offer.

If you’re staying on the Gold Coast for several days, I’d encourage you to A) to look at the dates of the events above and plan your visit around these dates, preferably in early April, and B) while you’re here, visit as many Gold Coast attractions and theme parks as possible, but be sure to include Infinity Gold Coast in your itinerary, as it is one of the must-visit attractions in Surfers Paradise.

Why Infinity Gold Coast?

Infinity Gold Coast is one of the most highly recommended Gold Coast attractions. Unlike regular theme parks that feature rides, Infinity Gold Coast is an attraction that offers an exceptional out-of-this-world experience. If you have not been before, you’re guaranteed an experience that is hard to describe. Step into the unknown with a futuristic maze of amazement.

Infinity attraction Gold Coast lets you explore your way through 20 different maze like environments featuring special effects and illusions. Previous guests agree that it’s something that offers a whole new exciting experience and that it’s the coolest thing that they’ve ever seen. When you enter the maze, I can guarantee that you will be blown away not just with the never-before-seen special effects but also when you get to experience a full range of  emotions whilst you travel through. This Gold Coast attraction has perfected the art of fun and is sure to leave you wanting more. Located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Infinity attraction is an ideal Gold Coast activity to enjoy on your holiday.

Being unique and the first of its kind in the world, it’s an experience not to be missed. Also, Infinity offers very affordable entertainment when compared to theme parks prices. If you’re travelling with your family on a shoestring budget, choosing a cheaper but equally amazing entertainment option would be practical. If you were to go to Dreamworld as a family, this could easily cost up around $500 for the day once you consider your other expenses including transportation and meals, meanwhile, you can get a family pass to Infinity for just $65.60.

If you’re travelling with kids then you’ll be happy to know that Infinity Gold Coast is kid-friendly, however we do recommend for ages 8 years and over. If you’re concerned whether it offers great value for money or if its worth trying out, I suggest that you check out previous guests comments on TripAdvisor (we are ranked #6 for Attractions in Surfers Paradise). Most of them come back for more! One even said: “Love it! Coming to Gold Coast again this year and it’s my 5th visit to infinity… love it! Gonna try and drag my friends along.”

Conclusion:

The Gold Coast hosts some of Australia’s major events and it’s not difficult to understand why. With several exciting upcoming events, the Gold Coast gives you even more reasons to make it your choice of holiday destination.

Whether you’re going here for the Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600 or 2015 ITU World Triathlon Series or any other event, make sure you make the most of your time on the Gold Coast by adding Infinity to your Gold Coast attractions list.
