Top tips and tricks for catching Pokemon!

Best tips for catching pokemon

Gotta Catch em all? Infinity might be able to help…

We’ve been noticing a lot of people gathering outside the doors of Infinity lately, and for weeks it had us puzzled. We were asking ourselves, why are people walking around with their heads in their phones with smiles from ear to ear. What could everyone be doing?

That was until we heard about the Pokemon Go App. Naturally; we downloaded it soon after to find out what all the fuss was about. We opened the app, walked down Surfers Paradise Blvd and were surprised at the amount of Pokemon that were popping up.

After a short time of trying to perfect the app, we got the hang of it. As we kept walking, we turned the corner into the Chevron Renaissance building heading back to Infinity; we noticed a clump of Pokemon hanging outside our doors! We’re talking Charizard, Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff and a few more!Read more…

Totally out of this world Activities on the Gold Coast

Visiting the Gold Coast is a fun and engaging experience, because what you’ll find will blow your mind. There are amazing beaches, restaurants and clubs, but if you’re one of the tourists looking for something a little different to do on your Gold Coast holiday, something that will leave a lasting impression on you,  you will be impressed by the endless fun options. The Gold Coast has hundreds of activities and things to do – 362 if you ask TripAdvisor, but how do you know what activity will fit the bill for you and your travelling companions? You could check TripAdvisor and see what others have rated as their favourite experience, or you can take the advice from a local that manages one of the most popular activities on the Gold Coast, me!

So here goes, my pick of totally out of this world activities on the Gold Coast that you’ll look back on with very fond memories.

Infinity Attraction – It would be crazy  not to include our own attraction in this list, because after all, it is a totally unique and the first of its kind in the world. It is a fun activity for all ages visiting  the Gold Coast. What to expect from Infinity? The simplest answer would be – the ultimate fun! It is a 30 minute experience, filled with  special effects, atmospheric sounds, and many mind blowing illusions.

infinity out of this world

It will be your journey to the maze-like world, the world you have never experienced before. Here is what one of the visitors, Himanshu Bayshore wrote about the attraction:

“Gold Coast is such a touristy place that its easy to get numb to all the sales pitch you hear about so many places but Infinity is one such place that justifies all the praise that it gets. It’s so DIFFERENT from anything we had seen, that it has to rank as our BEST 30 mins in our Gold Coast trip…totally awesome – specially if u have kids in 9-12 year range – younger then that may find the darkness too spooky. It’s located downtown, so reaching is easy – they don’t allow cameras (which though a pity but makes sense since it’s so dark inside anyway) but they have free lockers to keep ur camera and other stuff. When we went there was hardly anyone there and that added to our fun – it was like having a private tour :-)”

Jetpack Flyboard Adventures – if you like water activities, this should be on your list of things to do. Seeking for adventure? This is exactly what you should try. The instructors and staff are all very friendly, patient and nice, and they will explain everything to you, which is why you’ll have the time of your life. This is one of the best adrenaline activities on the Gold Coast, and it will be really fun!

Gold Coast Skydive – if you’ve always wanted to jump from a plane, this is your chance to do so! With experienced and professional instructors on your side, it will be an awesome ride, and you’ll enjoy every single second of it! Moreover, you will get the spectacular view on the beautiful Gold Coast, and such a view only those who seek adrenaline adventures may get!

ABC Heli – another up in the air activity you will love is a helicopter ride. It is not something you can find everywhere and is unlike any other activity on the Gold Coast, so I am sure you will have the kind of holiday you have always dreamed about. The ABC Heli crew is super friendly and professional, and they will give you a spectacular sightseeing adventure!

Hot Air Balloon Gold Coast – watching the land and all the beautiful surroundings from the balloon basket is certainly a true adventure! It is fun and enjoyable. Even if you are not too comfortable with heights, thanks to the experienced pilot, you will feel safe and secure, and it will be the picture-perfect experience!

Conclusion

These activities on the Gold Coast are different, they bring excitement, and they go beyond the usual. A sunny and warm day at the beach is fun, but if you are seeking  a true adventure, an experience which is a bit crazy and full of adrenaline, now you know where to go and what to try. Every activity listed is fun, and special in its own way. With so many options available from spectacular illusions, water activities, and sightseeing your holiday will be extremely exciting and you will definitely have more than just a photo on Instagram!

Things to Do with Kids on the Gold Coast

Keeping kids entertained during school holidays is hard, but juggling work with taking time off to spend with the kids is even harder. As a father myself, anytime I see an article that offers suggestions on how I can best spend precious time with my kids, I generally take note and give it a read. After all, while there are 101 things to do with kids on the Gold Coast, I find we do the same 3 or 4 things over – it’s nice to throw in something new to provide fresh memories for all.

The most recent article I came across was from one of my favourite blogs, queensland.com and it provided a great list of things to do with kids on the Gold Coast, many of which I hadn’t even considered – let me share them with you.

  1. Tamborine Mountain – spending the day with your kids at Tamborine Mountain is a wonderful idea. Exploring nature, and the beautiful surroundings, while walking or hiking will be super fun, and the scenery is astonishing. If you want to rest a bit, visit the village, because there are many excellent restaurants and cafes. Also, you can shop as well, because you’ll find boutiques, artwork, and antiques. Mother Nature offers so much, and Tamborine Mountain is the most amazing example of natural beauties and breathtaking surroundings.
  2. Springbrook National Park – this amazing area has many interesting features, and it covers an area of 6725ha. The landscape is spectacular, and there are many breathtaking waterfalls. Your kids will love the adventure which involves walking, visiting a glow-worm cave, and many other different activities. There is a picnic area, so you can take a lunch and relax a bit, while enjoying the view, because after all, Springbrook National Park has such an astonishing offer, and there are many natural wonders.
  3. Spend the day on the beach – there are many things to do on the Gold Coast, but spending the day on the beach with your kids is one of the top options. Activities and possibilities are basically endless. Always choose a guarded beach. Don’t forget to bring water bottles, beach towels, and of course the sunscreen, and the enjoyment may begin. You can build sand castles together, swim, explore the beach, play some sports, and so many other things. Water and sand offer the most special experience, especially when it comes to children. Every kid will enjoy every single second of it. It will be an unforgettable day, that’s for sure.
  4. The Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens – located in Benowa, this is a heaven on earth for those who like gardens. Taking your kids to such a place, you’ll teach them to appreciate the surroundings, flowers and nature in general. They will see some wonderful plants, as well as the butterfly garden. You can bring your dog as well, because there is an off-leash area.
  5. BBQ – this is a great way to spend your day with your kids, and there are many excellent places on the Gold Coast for a BBQ. Among the top ones is Budd’s Beach, for several reasons. There are toilets, which is of course important, the water is ideal because it is calm, and you’ll be able to teach the kids to swim if you haven’t already. Nearby is a playground, and a café. You will have a great family meal, and you can enjoy a cup of coffee while the kids are exploring the playground. It is a dream option for your entire family and I’ll certainly be added this one to my own list of things to do with kids on the Gold Coast.
  6. Currumbin Rock Pools – there is nothing better than to cool down during a warm summer day, and the beach is not the only option you have. Take your kids to the Currumbin Rock Pools, and you will have a wonderful time. You can take some rest, or even take a nap in the shade, or enjoy a picnic, and as a result, you will have many fresh and fun memories. Change is always good, especially if it involves the superb Currumbin Rock Pools.
  7. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary – Australia has very rich wildlife, and in the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, your kids will experience all that in the most amazing way. They will be able to feed a kangaroo, or cuddle a koala, watch the birds, and many other excellent things. It is a true adventure, and during the Queensland school holidays, there are many great programs for kids. Also, the entry is free of charge for kids under the age of four. How amazing is that?
  8. Jellurgal Aboriginal Culture Centre – there are many wonderful things to do with kids on the Gold Coast, and if you would like to see your kids learning and having fun at the same time, then you should take them to the Jellurgal Aboriginal Culture Centre. You will be welcomed by one of the world’s oldest living cultures, the Yugambeh people. They will share stories and tales, of Burleigh Mountain, and there are Burleigh Heads National Park tours. You and your kids will learn many new things, especially about the Gold Coast and its cultural history. After the tour is over, you can visit the café, and enjoy tea and bush tucker. There is also an art workshop, and the library.
  9. Learn to surf – surfing is a wonderful sport, which brings fun and enjoyment, and your kids will love it. Your little ones will experience the beach lifestyle, and all the beauty of the water. This can become the favourite activity for your entire family, and you will have many wonderful memories in the years ahead. Surfing is fun, and how much your kids are enjoying it will be noticeable from their smiles and loud laughter.
  10. Bike rides – if you don’t own bikes, you can rent them at an affordable price. Spending a warm summer day riding a bike with your kids is priceless, and this activity should become your habit, because it is healthy, and it is fun. Pack water bottles, and take a break when needed. You can always end the adventure in one of the restaurants and have a wonderful family meal, and you can summarise the impressions. You will certainly talk about many great places you saw while riding your bikes, and you will probably plan your next bike adventure.
O’Reilly’s Tree Top Walk

O’Reilly’s Tree Top Walk

As you can see there are some really good recommendations on this list for things to do with kids on the Gold Coast, but as the manager of the second most popular Gold Coast attraction, I have to be biased and throw in a suggestion of my own, and that of course is Infinity Attraction. If INFINITY sounds familiar to you, it may be because you have seen our recent advertising on kidspot.com.au. INFINITY Attraction is one of the most popular  on the Gold Coast. You will step into a futuristic world with many unique special effects. You will ignite your imagination, and you will  challenge your senses. It is an unforgettable 30-minute experience, which will bring many emotions, screams and laughter. The ticket prices are more than affordable, for an experience the whole family will enjoy. Once you check it out, it will become your favourite thing to do with your kids.

New Rides from Gold Coast Theme Parks

The Gold Coast is one of the best places to enjoy a family holiday because there is something for everyone. When it comes to family fun, the Gold Coast’s theme parks are an excellent entertainment option for having a lot of fun. After all, theme parks are what the Gold Coast is well known for. Gold Coast theme parks are continually introducing new rides and attractions to keep tourists and locals coming back time and time again.

Let’s review what’s new at some of  the biggest Gold Coast theme parks.

Movie World

Movie World is a very popular theme park, which is of course, movie related. Movie World has great live shows as well as many roller coasters and other rides. The park has introduced a new fun activity for juniors – the Junior Driving School. At the junior driving course, kids can learn about road rules and safety on the road. As well, kids now have the chance to experience the thrills of the most iconic attractions and rides at Movie World in a kid’s sized miniature version. You can enjoy cruising through the best-known landmarks of the park such as Kids WB Fun Zone, Main Street, Western Town and the Superman Escape Coaster. Guests can hang out with their favourite characters such as Scooby Doo, Batman and Bugs Bunny and get photos taken with them. While kids are exploring these fun activities, parents and grandparents can watch them having fun.

Junior Driving School

Sea World

Sea World is a favourite for many due to it having so many live sea-life displays such as a brilliant and entertaining dolphin show, diving with sharks and numerous other exhibits. Like the other parks Sea World also has a wonderful range of rides and water slides. There are options for all ages. Not so long ago, Sea World welcomed their first King Penguin chick! It is doing great and his mum and dad turned out to be amazing parents. The chick, named Leon, is always near the viewing window, and visitors can have a close encounter with this incredible little fellow. Not long ago the polar bears also had a baby which is now growing into a fun-loving teenager.

Dreamworld

Another great Gold Coast theme park is Dreamworld. It offers a wide range of attractions, rides, themed areas and a wildlife park. Just before Easter 2015, the park welcomed triplet bilbies and all three are now exploring the area of their enclosure. Bilbies are rare and a threatened species. There are only around 600 in the wild. Due to this, the baby bilby Joey’s are playing a very significant role for the survival of their species by being breed in captivity. There is also Kung Fu Panda: Land of Awesomeness, with the Skadoosh Bumper Cars, Pandamonium, and Kung Fu Academy and Po.

Land Of Awesomeness

6th Theme Park

Surfers Paradise is now being coined as being the new 6th Theme Park in the Gold Coast due to its leisure and entertainment precinct having a number of attractions like INFINITY, Timezone,  Q1  observation deck, bar and SkyPoint climb, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, the Haunted House, the Aquaduck tours,  JetBoat Extreme Broadwater and river rides and many other activities. INFINITY at the Chevron Renaissance Centre is the most innovative, imaginative, exciting and well known of these attractions. It is especially good for families and people of all ages over 8.

INFINITY offers something entirely different; a 30-minute walk-through experience which includes 20 multi-sensual, mood-setting environments with illusions that go to infinity, many special effects, atmospheric music and emotive sound fields, tactile experiences and environments in which to dance and play. Sharing this experience with your family is priceless. It’s a journey into other dimensions of your imagination. Your senses will be challenged and you will wonder what is real and what is not. There’s a special family package for two adults and two children for only $65.60, which you can purchase here. When looking at things to do on the Gold Coast, make sure INFINITY is at the top of your list. When asked to say what INFINITY is like so many say “You can’t describe it, you just have to experience it!”

Conclusion

One of the best destinations for holidaying families is unquestionably the Gold Coast because it has amazing beaches, beautiful rivers, stunning views from its headlands, and a rain forest hinterland with numerous waterfalls and distant views of the coast and the scenic rim mountains. There are many wonderful beach and river parks and great dining and shopping options everywhere. The accommodation is first class and inexpensive. Gold Coast Theme Park Price Comparison

The Gold Coast has an amazing offer when it comes to attractions. When visiting, going to the beach is fun, but since there are many other things to do, it would be good to check them out. There are so many attractions and theme parks, and sometimes, it can be really hard to choose where to go and visit. Often, ticket prices play a significant role, and can have a huge impact on your final choice.

In this article, I will compare the ticket prices for the main Gold Coast theme parks, and you will have a better picture when it comes to costs.

Gold Coast Theme Parks

Dreamworld theme park

Dreamworld is the largest Gold Coast theme park, which is located in Coomera, Queensland – it is actually the largest theme park in Australia if their billboards are anything to go by. There are all kinds of attractions on offer, such as roller coasters, wildlife experiences, Dreamworld’s cinema, The Dreamworld Express, Tiger Islands and others.

When it comes to the price, a 1 day ticket to Dreamworld is $74.99. There is also an option where you can get passes that offer better value (access to also WhiteWater World and SkyPoint Observation Deck), and prices start at $84.99. There is also special offers throughout the year to buy combo passes which are valid for up to a year. Sites like Scoopon and Living Social regularly have special offers.

WhiteWater World theme park

Another Gold Coast theme park is WhiteWater World. As the name suggest, WhiteWater World is a water park and it is also co-located with Dreamworld. There are various activities available for kids and adults and different rides are broken down into the following categories; thrill, family and kids. There are also coffee shops, places to dine and shop.

A WhiteWater World 1 Day Ticket will set you back $39.99. The same pass is available as Dreamworld which will then also give you access to Dreamworld and SkyPoint Observation Deck for $84.99.

Movie World theme park

For those who are movie fans, MovieWorld would be the Gold Coast theme park for you. Located in Oxenford, this park is the only movie park in Australia. Like the other theme parks, there are different rides and attractions available, such as thrill rides, kids fun and family entertainment.

The Movie World 1 day ticket will cost you $79.00. There are also options to get a VIP Magic Pass, or to book tickets for a group.

Sea World theme park

This Gold Coast theme park is not only a park; it is also a marine mammal park, and Oceanarium! If you are an animal lover like myself, there are many things you’ll enjoy about Sea World. Located more centrally at Main Beach, Sea World offers various shows, rides, and adventures which audiences of all ages can enjoy.

A Sea World 1 day ticket price is $79.00, but there are also annual passes, and a VIP Magic Pass. There is an option to book the tickets for the group.

Wet’n’Wild theme park

Another water park, Wet’n’Wild located in Oxenford is among the most visited theme parks on the Gold Coast. There are different water based rides and activities available for kids and families. You can even hire a cabana.

A Wet’n’Wild 1 day ticket price is $64.00. You can book tickets for the group, or get the VIP Magic Pass.

Infinity Attraction

To spend a day with your family at one of the most popular theme parks on the Gold Coast could set you back hundreds of dollars, that’s for sure. On the other hand, there are certain attractions which offer so much, at affordable prices. One such attraction is right here at Infinity Attraction. We are located in the heart of the Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise therefore we’re much easier to access than the other major attractions. What’s more, our futuristic experience is unforgettable, intriguing and super fun. People are always amazed by the concept of the attraction, illusions, and all kinds of visual and sound effects.

You will be pleasantly surprised with the ticket prices. The ticket price for an adult is $26.90 ($24.20 if you buy online), for a child $17.90 ($16.10 if you buy online), for a family, which includes 2 adults and 2 children(4-13years), it is $72.90 ($65.60 if you buy online), for a student $21.90 ($19.70 if you buy online), for seniors $19.90 ($17.90 if you buy online).

Infinity is also very popular for groups and parties, in which case there are special packages and discounts. There will be a lot of laughter since it is a super fun experience, but it is also a very affordable one!

Conclusion

If you have plans to visit one of the Gold Coast theme parks, now you have a bigger picture when it comes to prices. In order to spend a day at one of the parks, you will need several hundred dollars, which is not a small sum to pay. On the other hand, if you are looking for a fun adventure, which is like no other, and an attraction that is affordable, then you should definitely come visit us at Infinity Attraction. We’re one of the most popular attractions on the Gold Coast and suitable for ages over 8.

If you can see the value in our attraction and are more comfortable paying $65.60 for a family as opposed to $350+, then jump on our website and buy your family pass online.
